Croatia is one of the candidate countries to the EU meaning that it seeks to become a member in the future. In its situation, Croatia needs a strong lobbying group that would take care of its interests and this was the aim of the Foundation for Economic Interests Promotion, or the so called ‘Foundation’.

The organism was established at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration together with the Ministry of Economy. Its aim was to promote the interests of the country to the EU and other international groups while providing support for further integration in the EU market.
