Željko Ivančević
Željko
Ivančević began to study in 1971 at the Faculty of Political Sciences
and at Faculty for Foreign Trade. After he had graduated at the Faculty
of Political Sciences, University in Zagreb, he was involved in
journalism.
He continued education in the field of regional cooperation in Europe
that lead him to position of office head in the Work Association
"Alpe-Jadran".
He continued his career in diplomacy as a consul in Frankfurt, Germany,
and in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Zagreb.
Since he got experiences in private entrepreneurship and excellent
knowledge of employers' associations, he became general director of the
Croatian Employers' Association in 1993. In a short time he created the
most respectable employers' association in South – East Europe. He is
actively involved in a number of European expert organisations; he is
member of the Committee for Economics in the Croatian Parliament,
vice-president of Supervising Committee in Našice-cement and president
of the Social-Economic Council.
He continued his education in management at the international seminar
"Total quality management" in Tokyo, which contributed to the Croatian
Employers' Association getting an ISO 9000 certificate.
In 2003 he continued his career in his own company dealing with
consulting and lobbying. He writes articles for daily magazine "Dnevnik"
every week and occasionally works with other media.
He is Director of the Foundation for Economic Interests Promotion since
September 2004 when he got a lobbyist accreditation in the European
Parliament.
He speaks English and German, and has fair knowledge of Spanish,
Bulgarian and Slovenian language.
Miljenko Leppee, Ph. D.
Miljenko
Leppee graduated in 1971 at the Faculty of Economics, University of
Zagreb. He achieved master's degree in 1975 at the Faculty of Economics,
University of Zagreb and Ljubljana ("Interventionism in the Polish
Economy"). In 2000 he got Ph.D. in Economics ("Export Marketing of
Agro-food Products"), University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics.
He began his career as an export official in "Ferimport", foreign trade
organization, study tours and market research in India and Thailand.
From 1975 he worked as an export official and director in
"Astra-Mašinoimpex", foreign trade organization (exports and imports of
food products), study tours and market research in Eastern Europe and
UAE, and as director of "Bramico" and "Partner Trade", foreign trade
companies. In 1998 he started to work in the Ministry of Economy,
Division for Small Business as Head of Department (international
co-operation and entrepreneurship promotion and support). He
collaborated with "Zagreb School for Management and Economics", worked
as a lecturer in "Vern", school for entrepreneurship and a visiting
lecturer at the Faculty for Economics (International trade); author and
co-author of different publications for entrepreneurs.
In 2000 he was transferred to the Ministry of Crafts and SMEs, Division
for International Co-operation. He worked as an Assistant Minister
designing the projects of international, including cross-border,
co-operation, investment and export promotion; contacts and negotiations
on bi- and multilateral basis – EU, WB, USAID, UNDP, individual
countries etc.
At the same time he was acting as a member of the Croatian Government
expert team for the negotiations with the World Bank; member of the
«Institute Open Society Croatia» expert team; member of the joint
"Senter – Institute for International Relations" project board; member
of Joint economic commissions – Croatia and different countries.
He is an external consultant for the Foundation for Economic Interests
Promotion and accredited lobbyist to the European parliament. Dr Leppee speaks English, German, Italian, French and Slovenian language.
Orsat Miljenić, LL.B.
Orsat
Miljenić graduated in 1993 at Faculty of Law, Zagreb. In 1995 he
achieved Master's degree, LL.M in International Commercial Law, Central
European University, Budapest & University of New York, USA.
In 1999 he got Diplomatic counsellor exam at Diplomatic Academy of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and in 2000 state
bar exam.
He began his career as interim – volunteer at Municipal Court in Zagreb.
From 1993 to 1996 he worked as a research assistant at Faculty of Law in
Zagreb. From 1996 he worked in Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an expert
adviser and then as a diplomat at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia
to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
He returned from Netherlands in 2000 and started to work in the
Government of the Republic of Croatia as Head of the Government's Office
for cooperation with the International Court of Justice and
international criminal courts.
In 2002 he continued his career in Ministry for European Integration as
Assistant Minister and deputy minister.
In 2004 he opened his own office as an Attorney at law.
Along with his professional career he performed other duties:
- Observer of the Government of the Republic of Croatia to the ICTY,
- Member of the Croatia's legal team in a proceedings before
International Court of Justice – Application of the Genocide Convention
(Republic of Croatia v. Yugoslavia),
- Leader of the Government's expert team in charge of preparation of the
reform of public administration,
- Transparency International Croatia – Project Coordinator for the
Project Advocacy and Legal Anticorruption Center.
Since September 2004 he is licensed lobbyist in European Parliament and
works for Foundation for Economic Interests Promotion as a consultant.
He speaks English and French language.
Janko Vranyczany-Dobrinović
Janko Vranyczany – Dobrinović is a special associate in Foundation for
Economic Interests Promotion from Brussels. He was the first ambassador
of Republic of Croatia in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg and head
of mission of Republic of Croatia at European Union and NATO.
